Maxwell Road, our first flat….

An enormous corner tenement that sat on the market for six months. We got it for the home report price, and soon learned why… mice. Lots and lots of mice. And then moths. And then cockroaches. We learn some valuable skills in this flat - chief amongst them how to pest-proof, how to deal with factors when nobody else in the building will, and how to draught-proof without changing the windows (nice thick curtains is the only answer here I’m afraid). We experimented with some bold colours (nothing could be worse than the brown, orange and Ribena purple we moved in to) and made the most of living around the corner from a really great bakery.
